ready for a holiday?
one of our favorite magazines has returned after a very long…holiday
american travel magazine, holiday, ran from 1946 to 1977 and employed some of the best writers and photographers of the era—joan didion earnest hemingway, john steinbeck, jack kerouac, henri cartier-bresson, slim aarons, et al—to cover one travel theme or destination per issue, separately, however they liked. the no-expenses-spared approach to journalism makes each issue, even today, essential reading.
